On Monday, June 10, 2024, a Federal Court granted a preliminary injunction that changes the form filing requirement from a 2023 Form 6 back to a 2023 Form 1 for Mayors and City/Village/Town Governing Board Members. The ruling is effective immediately.

- The lobbying and post-officeholding restrictions in Amendment 12, passed by Florida voters in 2018, became effective December 31, 2022. The Florida Legislature passed implementing legislation in CS/HB 7001 and 7003 (See 2022-140 and 2022-141 L.O.F.). Officials with questions about the application of the new prohibition should contact the Commission to request an opinion.
